What We Do

Our Key Programs

We focus on critical areas to create lasting change and build a self-reliant community.

Women Empowerment

Remidial class

In Kakuma, many children face difficult due to overcrowded classrooms learning conditions and limited academic support beyond the classroom. TKP provides remedial classes, homework support, and continuous academic mentoring to help children strengthen their learning, build confidence, and stay on track with their education.

Youth Talent Development

Music skills development

Through our music skills development program, we creates opportunities for young people to explore their talents, develop practical creative skills, and use music as a platform for self-expression and personal growth. The program provides a positive environment where young people can build confidence, nurture creativity, and develop skills that can contribute to future livelihood opportunities.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Digital skills and technology

Many young people in Kakuma complete high school but face another barrier: limited digital skills that can prevent them from accessing scholarships, employment, training, and other opportunities. TKP provides practical training in Artificial Intelligence, social media management, and employability skills, helping young people become more digitally confident, opportunity-ready, and prepared for employment.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Creative arts and beadwork

Our creative arts and beadwork activities provide children and young people with opportunities to express themselves, develop practical skills, and explore their creativity. Beyond artistic development, these activities can create pathways for learning, social connection, entrepreneurship, and income generation through locally produced creative work.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Adult education

In Kakuma's multilingual community, limited English is making it difficult to communicate, access services, or pursue employment and other opportunities. We provides practical English classes that help adults improve their speaking, writing, communication, and confidence when presenting themselves for opportunities.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Community Support & Food Security

We provides food and essential basic materials to People with disability (PWD), highly vulnerable members of the community, including persons with disabilities, orphans, teenage mothers, and elderly people. Our support responds to immediate needs while promoting dignity, inclusion, and community solidarity.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Entrepreneurship Training

Many women in refugee and host communities face limited access to formal employment and economic opportunities. Through hands-on entrepreneurship and micro-business training, we help women develop the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to identify business opportunities, make informed decisions, manage small enterprises, and work toward greater financial independence.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Peacebuilding & Psychosocial Support

In a diverse community such as Kakuma, where people from different backgrounds live together, strengthening peaceful relationships, dialogue, and social cohesion is essential.Through peacebuilding activities and psychosocial support, we promote dialogue, understanding, emotional wellbeing, resilience, and peaceful coexistence, particularly among young people and community members facing difficult circumstances.

Vulnerable Persons Support

Child Protection

Children in vulnerable and displacement-affected communities can face increased risks of neglect, abuse, exploitation, violence, and other forms of harm. Through child-focused activities, awareness and community engagement, we help children and caregivers understand protection issues, encourage safe reporting and help-seeking, and promote environments where children are respected, heard, and protected.
