About Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja
Community Driven and Creating Lasting Opportunity.
Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja (TKP) is a refugee-led organization operating in Kakuma refugees camp to promote learning, skills, dignity, self-reliance, and sustainable development. The name Tuinuane Kwa Pamoja means “Together We Rise.” It reflects our belief that sustainable change is created when communities come together, support one another, and take collective ownership of solutions that improve lives and create opportunities for a better future. We work alongside refugee and host communities to address barriers that limit children, women, people with disability young people, and vulnerable families from reaching their full potential.
We believe lasting change is strongest when communities are not only beneficiaries, but also leaders of the solutions that affect their lives. TKP therefore welcomes donors, institutions, foundations, businesses, and development partners who share our commitment to inclusive, locally led, and sustainable community development.

Remidial class
In Kakuma, many children face difficult due to overcrowded classrooms learning conditions and limited academic support beyond the classroom. TKP provides remedial classes, homework support, and continuous academic mentoring to help children strengthen their learning, build confidence, and stay on track with their education.

Many young people in Kakuma complete high school but face another barrier: limited digital skills that can prevent them from accessing scholarships, employment, training, and other opportunities. TKP provides practical training in Artificial Intelligence, social media management, and employability skills, helping young people become more digitally confident, opportunity-ready, and prepared for employment.

Adult education
In Kakuma's multilingual community, limited English is making it difficult to communicate, access services, or pursue employment and other opportunities. We provides practical English classes that help adults improve their speaking, writing, communication, and confidence when presenting themselves for opportunities.

We provides food and essential basic materials to People with disability (PWD), highly vulnerable members of the community, including persons with disabilities, orphans, teenage mothers, and elderly people.
